Family Counselling
Through family therapy, the therapist can explore familial relationship difficulties by
reflecting on how families work, the rules in the family, how close and distant relationships
are among family members, how to deal with differences, being true to yourself, triangles
within relationships, the impact of birth order and family of origin. There are multiple issues
and theories related to family issues and my aim is to support clients in their individual goals
as they enter family therapy.
As with all therapy sessions, a minimum commitment of four sessions would provide
adequate time for both the client to assess the value add of therapy, and for the therapist to
demonstrate the benefit in relationships when interventions align to client goals.
