My Approach
Working with clients, I help them to consider their thinking, their choices, and their actions. Through building genuine relationships with the people who come to see me, I guide my clients to feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives. If a client feels stuck in unhelpful or destructive patterns, I will walk alongside them, providing support and counselling, so they develop an awareness and understanding of their story, and the options they have for growth and change. In discovering their own uniqueness, strengths, and gifts, clients learn to respect and value themselves as well as others.
I follow an integrated therapy approach aligned with the clients’ therapeutic needs and goals. The various methods used help clients consider how the reality of the past, the present, and their core beliefs have shaped their identity. I help clients reframe feelings of shame and abuse, work with repressed resentment and anger, and rescuing, caretaking, and enabling behaviour. Through guiding and counselling, clients can develop a better understanding of themselves. This knowledge can be applied as they journey through the peaks, valleys, and plateaus’ stages of life.
